U.S. PRESIDENT ANNOUNCES BAN ON ALL RUSSIAN OIL IMPORTS
U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday announced a ban on all Russian gas and oil imports:
The decision came after the U.S. House of Representatives voted today on a law legalizing the ban on energy imports from Russia, as well as the Russian military operation in Ukrainian territory continues for the 13th consecutive day, since its inception on February 24.
"We coordinated the decision to ban Russian oil imports with several partners, explaining that the sanctions are aimed at harming Russian President Vladimir Putin," Biden said.
"Our decision to ban Russian oil and gas imports will not be priceless in the United States, but we will do everything we can to mitigate the impact of U.S. citizens on sanctions against Russia," it said.
In contrast, media reports said the UK government also plans to declare a ban on all Russian oil imports in the latest punitive action against Russia.

Biden has said Washington will not interfere in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Biden announced that America had decided to deploy additional troops in Europe to protect nato allies only.
"Our forces have not and will not engage in a conflict with Russian forces in Ukraine. We will not send our troops to Europe to fight in Ukraine, but to protect our NATO allies. If Putin decides to continue moving westward.
Biden noted that ground troops, air squadrons, and warships have been mobilized. to defend NATO countries, including Poland, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
Biden stressed that the United States and its allies will defend every inch of NATO territory with their joint forces.
